Morning Friends!
Boy have I had fun playing with my Stampin' Inks and Clear Blocks this week. And its actually not a messy inky project although it appears as if it could be.
I was inspired by a UK Stampin' Up!® Independent Demonstrator, Niki Ridge. I really love the Sand and Sea Suite Collection that I purchased from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue. The Stamp Set, Dies, Embossing folder, Opal Rounds and Pearlescent Specialty Paper are all still available in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue but not as a suite.
Suites (or bundles) are are very good way to start your Stamping Craft Collection as they come with a 10% saving. They coordinate with each other therefore it makes them really easy to work with providing so, so much fun.

Technique #1. Watercolour Wash
The fun technique.
Grab
a clear block and pat it in patches with 2 or 3 inks going from
lightest to darkest so as not to ruin your ink pads. Now spritz it with
some water and press directly onto a piece of whisper white 8 x 8cm card
stock. I managed to get 2 out of the one ink and spritzing. Set it
aside to dry (or if your in a hurry you could use your heat gun) while
you continue to make the rest of the card.
Once the 8x8
Base Card, Technique #2. Blending
Using
Night of Navy, Pacific point and Coastal Cabana I blended from light to
darkest colour using my new blending brushes onto the front of my
Whisper White Thick Card Base (14.9cm x 21cm). I have 6 blending brushes
and I try to keep them to a general colour hue so as to not have to
continually wash them and wait for it to dry between uses.

Once I finished the blending on the base card for this one, done the same as the previous card, I took it outside and gave it a spritz with a 9:1 mix of Rubbing Alcohol and Frost White in my Stampin' Spritzers. It is difficult to see it in the photographs. It gave the base card the same pearly shimmer as the Nautilus Shell.
And this card is my favourite.
Well, that's it for now. Have a great week and make some time for crafting.
