Memory Lane
Hi Stamping Friends,
Today I thought I might just go down the rabbit hole with a walk down memory lane.
The stamping world has provided me with some very precious and life long friends over the years. One of those friends gave me this gift many years ago. She just used a simple glass jar and resprayed the lid with paint to suit, filled it with some of her excess threads and finished it off with a sweet tag she stamped and signed.
The pleasures a small gift can make to someone else can be so valuable to them and yet really doesn't have to cost a lot or take a lot of time to make.
You know, it was quite a practical gift as I have added threads to it since. It is fantastic for storage in my craft nook. It looks good too! Every time I glance past it or search through it for just the right thread I think of her and our friendship and can remember the happy times we have shared together.
Pass It On
I am also reminded as I write to be generous with what we have. We live in a land of excess and most of us have plenty to share with others. Maybe we don't need to keep everything for that 'I might just use it one day' that may never come. I know that my friend had bought a number of balls of thread/wool and she could have kept them all. I am pretty sure she would have eventually used them all too, but she chose to divide them and share them with others. Now, how am I going to 'Pass It On' and bless some one else today? If my friend and I have inspired you to share some of your crafting excess to bless someone, tell me in the comments below what you did.
