This is the card I should have been making last weekend while I was sick with the flu, as the sweet little lady had her birthday a few days back.
I sat down this afternoon to make her card and I have to say I REALLY enjoyed making it. It came together nicely with no real hiccups. Hiccups - You know the ones where you drop your ink pad on your white pants or rub your sleeve in it and then bump it on the card. I was so happy with the end result of this card. I think its real pretty. I am so wrapped with it. What do you think? Like it? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
I got to use lots of new items that I was not going to buy from our Jan-June Mini Catalogue but did a couple of weeks ago. And now I am soooooo glad I did. I am in love with this Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set. I can tell already from this little play today, that I will use it heaps. There is some lovey sentiments in it sprinkles and 100's &1000's, and it has ice cream cones and paddle pops. My dad calls them 'licky stickys'. He is always coming up with funny alternative names for things.
I have made this card at the level of an advanced stamper with many layers and complexities but you could simplify this card heaps by removing a number of the layers. It would be equally lovely as a #simplestamping card if it were simply stamped with the happy birthday and ice cream either stamped directly or layered on it and finish it with the opal rounds embellishments.
Let me tell you what I used to make this beautiful card.
The card base is in whisper white and the first layer is embossed with the Painted Textures Embossing Folder. The very edges of the first layer, I put some Blushing Bride Ink and adhered with Multipurpose Glue.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Blushing Bride onto Whisper White Cardstock and hand trimmed it with snips, then adhered with multipurpose glue.
The bunting is stamped using the cone from the ice cream cone in Blushing Bride with my Stamparatus. I was able to line the stamp to the right hand edge and each time I stamped I moved the top plate with the stamp on it, across one notch to the left. The cones lined up perfectly making bunting. I stamped in Magenta Madness, the letters to make her name, 'Grace' using the Make a Difference Photopolymer Stamp Set. These were hand trimmed with paper snips and adhered using stampin' dimensionals.
For the Ice Cream Cone layers I die cut two layers from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. One in Blushing Bride and one in Whisper White. They are both adhered with Multipurpose Glue. I stamped You Melt My Heart in Blushing Bride directly onto the white Label. Next I stamped the ice cream in Blushing Bride and the sprinkles overtop in Magenta Madness. I stamped the cone in Crumb Cake and the markings on it in Cinnamon Cider. I hand trimmed these with paper snips or you could use the matching punch. When you purchase the Stamp set and Punch together as a bundle it is a 10% saving. I adhered these with the stampin' dimensionals.
I finished the card front by tying some whisper white crinkled seam binding ribbon to a Heart Charm and adhering with a mini glue dot. Finally I placed 5 sweet little Opal Rounds Embelishments on the card.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment again inside and some sprinkles across the bottom of the card.
Hint!
Now I must confess, I do not have all the Stampin' Ink Pads for the above required card. In fact I have none of them. What I do have is a box of Many Marvelous Markers which contains all 40 Stampin' Write Markers plus a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I used the brush ends to ink up my stamps. Doing it this way does not give as good quality even inked image but is more affordable if you are just starting to collect Stampin' Up®s ink pad colours.

Well that's it for now.
I am off to meet my brother for a coffee in the city and then walk up to the Adelaide International 2021 Womens Tennis. I am seriously disapointed that Ash Barty was knocked out yesterday so I won't see her play, but hey, it will still be fantastic to get out of the house and watch some brilliant tennis. Tomorrow I might get into some more crafting quietly in my Happy Corner. Every day we open our eyes is a good day remember! Love Ya's All!
I hope you have a great week crafting. Happy Stamping, Happy Days, my friend!
