Morning Friends!

Woah up there 2022!

I am not sure how your year has been going. I do hope you have been able to enjoy the holidays over the summer.

Let me catch you up a bit on my home front since Nov/Dec. I have been pretty overwhelmed (hence I have not been around) the last few months and I feel like or maybe I am hoping that now I can start to slow down again, find my new rhythm and get some form of routine and normality to my life. That includes getting back into regular blogging and crafting, which I love doing so they bring me pleasure & purpose.

We had a quick day trip to Melbourne (and of course the Covid rules changed in the 6 hours we were out of state) for a family funeral. It was a precious moment in time where we as a large family, living over 3 states, were able to be together, shed tears, hug, remember and be thankful.

We took a holiday to Kangaroo Island, SA. It was so lovely to take some time out & get away to one of my favourite places. I was a little apprehensive that it would be much more commercialised than it had been when I used to go, back in the late 80s. Well, yes it was a bit but still the same KI that I remember. Lots of wildlife to be seen in the wild although a little more protected these days which is probably a good thing. Such a precious thing these days.

We spent December driving 1.5 hours to our newly purchased holiday home, in the same town my parents live, every weekend cleaning and setting it up ready for guests. If you have recently moved house, you have an idea of our busyness. This was pushing way beyond my health boundaries so quite exhausting. January we have been up and running and our weekends we are taking down there to continue the set up etc are slowly becoming further apart, less demanding whilst there and this is allowing me to slow down a little and catch my breath. I sure am looking forward to the weekends when I can go down there and sleep or read the weekend away. The blessing has been being able to spend more time with my parents.

January saw me manage to fit in a 'Paint & Sip' sesssion with my daughter and I did get some snippets of time to make a card or 2. We also celebrated my youngest's 21st birthday.

I have also been struggling this year with a dying computer. It kept freezing on me and the keyboard would not work sometimes. Monday a new one arrived in the post for me. Thanks darl! Now to get it all set up properly.

I have to say thanks everyone for your continued support by ordering through my Stampin' Up! Shop whilst I have been head-down, tail-up trying to keep my head above water.

Also this is a good reason to follow my Facebook page as I am always more active there than here on my blog.
