Wattle & Merlot Christmas Cards! A Very Barossa Valley Christmas.

Morning Friends!

Well as you can see I have been making a couple of Christmas cards this week. I thought it is past time that I start to make a couple. I have not been around much, I know, I have now been diagnosed with Long Covid, which on top of ME means I really do not have hardly any energy beyond getting to my medical appointments each week (and I struggled with that much before), so bear with me in the future. I will still always strive to answer any questions you message or email me with or help in any way I can. I just need to slow down, so I may not always be able to get a blog up each week. You will always be able to find any specials and what is happening at Stampin' Up! on my Shop Site. Keep an eye on that and Facebook.

Wattle and Merlot, How Barossa Valley is that!

How much do you love that Stampin' Up! think of us down here in little old Oz. They made this Wattle Stamp Set for us. Have you seen the Koala Image also? Anyway, the patriot in me decided I would Go With Wattle for Christmas this year. I am enjoying it as it is also in season at the moment and I am seeing it everywhere, brightening up our spring days that winter is still trying to argue with. ...and as I write this line, the rain pours down in torrents. Where better to be than at my craft desk surrounded by lovely crafting 'stuff' which makes me feel happy.

My first card, above I have made using Basic White Card Stock, Merry Merlot Card Stock & Gold Foil Sheets.

I have used the long die from Labels Aglow Dies to punch holes in the merry merlot CS so you can see the gold foil shining through like stars or wattle flowers.

The stamped image of the wattle branch I inked with my ink markers in Granny Apple Green, Merry Merlot and Early Espresso and after die cutting it, I used dimensionals to adhere it. I also used dimensionals to adhere the sentiment and placed a small piece of ribbon under it.

To the wattle flowers, I added snowfall Accent puff paint and then hit it with the heat tool. Ahhh! it is so exciting watching it 'blossom'.

My Second Card, I have made using the same card stocks and only the Brightest Beauty Bundle.
The Basic White layer I stamped with the background image in the set using Crushed Curry Stampin'
Ink.
To that I adhered a die cut Merry Merlot long sentiment tag (which I extended while I was die cutting it). That has Glided Leafing added using the same background image as previously used. I stamp this with Versa Mark, sprinkled Heat & Stick on it, then hit it with the heat gun and then quickly add the Leafing. Finally, I gently brush off the excess with a soft paint brush.

I have used Crushed Curry to blend around the edges softly adding colour with my blending brushes. Next I stamped the desired sentiment in Merry Merlot.

I have made the die cut Wattle/Acacia Stem in the same way as previous card but finished it with a different ribbon.

Well, that's it for now. Have a great week and make some time for crafting.
