Playing with Flower & Field DSP

Events and Cracking the New Items

I opened my pack of Field & Flower Designer Series Paper to use this week. It was a gift I was given at the last demonstrators event I attended way back in November. I can't believe it has taken me this long to open the pack. That just shows how much NEW items I was gifted and purchased at the time. Stampin' Up!® are very generous to their demonstrators and the events they put on for us are so much fun to attend. We have lots of chances to make items with new products as they are launched to demonstrators at events earlier than to customers. We also have the chance to pre-purchase at the event. I have met some lovely friends through crafting and stamping and attending events helps to not only grow your network, but get to know those friends even better.

The Field & Flower DSP pack is bright and cheerful, and of course, floral. This DSP pack contains 12, 12"x12" sheets of  6 double sided prints. It is one of the Sale-a-Bration (SAB) FREEBIES. You can not purchase this DSP, but you can earn it FREE when you purchase $AUD90 from Stampin' Up! until 28 Feburary 2021. Actually, NOW is the ideal time to join my Stampin' Up! team, with so many of the usual bonuses and SAB freebies.

It was so exciting during the week prior to our November SU Event, called OnStage, receiving a large parcel from stampin up delivered to my house. Included in the parcel was a stamp set called Enjoy the moment. I decided to challenge myself by using this set also.

Enjoy the Moment

I had fun joining in on the CASE-ing Tuesday challenge #caseingtuesday287 on Facebook this week. Browns Yellows are not what I naturally am drawn to use but I really do like the Bumble Bee Dot Paper in this Flower & Field Designer Series Paper from our new Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.
  • Cake Crumb for Card Base
  • Layer 1, Bumble Bee Dot Paper from Flower & Field DSP
  • Layer 2, Whisper White with Balmy Blue Stampin' Ink sponged around edges with Sponge Daubers.
    • Image from Enjoy the Moment stamped in Soft Suede Stampin' Ink and coloured with Ivory and Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends
  • Sentiment stamped on Bumble Bee CS with Versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder.
  • Embellishment Lady Bugs.

I have listed the products I used, with links to my shop, below. Sometimes the shopping list to make one card can seem overwhelming. It's best to remember, you will be able to make many many items from each product.

There are sometimes ways to make a purchase more affordable.
  • Look at product shares.
  • Purchase bundles eg. cardstock - you can purchase sheets of one colour or sheets of a colour family.
  • Find a friend to purchase with and split the purchase and postage costs.

Cricket!

After a day of crafting, I am heading off now to take my baby 'Mr Joh' to the Strikers v's Thunder BBL cricket game for his birthday. Woo Hoo! This should be a bit fun. My body has not been happy over the last couple of months with pain flares due to my autoimmune conditions. I had a migraine last Monday and headache for the week since so I am hoping all the excitement, lights and noise tonight does not trigger another migraine. I suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out) so this is one of those situations where I push on, hope for the best and spend a few days recovering if only from exhaustion even when I shouldn't be going. I'd never do anything fun if I didn't do this though.

That's it for now! So Happy Crafting and Happy Days to you!
